The Regional Government Relations Manager will be based in New York. The incumbent will be responsible for:

Representing JPMorgan Chase with state and local government officials in a three state region including New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut, with an emphasis on New York

Identifying and defeating state or local legislative proposals that would detrimentally impact JPMC

Identifying proactive legislative opportunities at the state and local level

Supporting JPMorgan Chase market managers' relationships with federal, state and local elected officials

Assisting government bankers with business development

Managing state bankers associations and contract lobbyists

Managing regional PAC budgets and making effective PAC contributions

Understanding the governmental and political environment within assigned region

Keeping management appraised of political and legislative environment

Demonstrated strong and effective lobbying experience in New York State and New York City

Exceptional relationships and understanding of politics and the state and local legislative process, particularly in New York

Relevant experience lobbying in multiple states

Demonstrated strong understanding of financial service and business issues

Proven to have impeccable integrity

Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

Proven to have a strong work ethic

Graduate degree or equivalent experience

10+ years of total relevant experience
