The Vice President of Public Relations will be responsible for the development and implementation of proactive and strategic communications plans and platforms to enhance awareness of the Monster Worldwide Brand and corporate initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Global Corporate Communications and Social Media, the Vice President will handle all media relations outreach, design
communications strategies and execute them to enhance and protect the
company's reputation and support product and sales strategies to drive
revenue.

Essential Functions:
- Develops a communications strategy to define long-term and short-term priorities in support of the organization's vision and mission, value proposition, and its industry impact.
- Develops and manages multi-tiered media strategy supporting both corporate and product initiatives.
- Provides counsel and rapid response function to effectively manage ad hoc issues and opportunities.
- Strategize and collaborate with global marketing, brand managers, public relations managers and corporate communications to develop and drive external components of product launch plans, including messaging, timing and media relations outreach.
- Responsible for writing, editing and serving as the central point for news content while working with functional groups to ensure accuracy and conformity to legal and other requirements
- Prepares talking points, market commentaries, and other external/internal communications to meet communications goals and objectives.
- Develops reporting tools, message pull-through metrics, key performance indicators and other measurement vehicles for demonstrating program effectiveness.
- Acts as primary external spokesperson with media.

- Minimum fifteen (15) years of public relations experience, preferably in both corporate and agency settings; global technology and/or e-commerce experience along with experience with a large, publicly traded company.
- The ability to leverage a network of proven and established press and media contacts is key to the overall success of this position. Solid professional reputation and credibility within the PR community is a must.
- Ability to manage and plan around rapidly changing priorities.
- Proven record of talent and team management, supervisory skills, coaching/mentoring and demonstrated attention to professional development of subordinates.
- Strategist that is motivated by deadlines and measurable outcomes.
- High energy level and a readiness to take on significant change and growth. Integrity and grace under stress.
- Agency/vendor resource management experience.
- Knowledge of and entrepreneurship in identifying new and emerging public relations/communications tools required
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations or related field.
