Vice President for Legislative and Public Affairs

The Visiting Nurse Associations of America (VNAA), located in Washington, DC, seeks qualified candidates for its Vice President for Legislative and Public Affairs. The VNAA is the leading national advocacy group representing non-profit, community-based home health agencies, including nearly 300 VNAs and 500 other free-standing agencies with similar missions. The agencies represented by the VNAA provide a variety of health care services to communities across the United States, including home health, hospice, immunization, and maternal and child health care. At VNAA, our mission is to help our members succeed in providing high quality and cost-effective care to all Americans, regardless of ability to pay, in their communities and whenever possible, in their own homes. Visit our website at vnaa.org for more information.

The Vice President for Legislative and Public Affairs leads the VNAA's legislative strategy and tactics in support of the VNAA's broad public policy strategic priorities and goals. The successful candidate will bring sharp strategic focus, strong leadership capacity, an exceptional and hands-on knowledge of federal healthcare policymaking, experience managing advocacy resources, including an active and engaged membership, and superior communications skills to the challenge of ensuring that the federal government maintains and strengthens its commitment to patients served by VNAs.

Interested candidates should send a letter of interest and resume to Jennifer Franson, Executive Assistant to the President, at jfranson@vnaa.org.
