The
American Clinical Laboratory Association (ACLA) is seeking a DC-based Vice
President for Government Affairs to join our outstanding team to help lead
ACLA's growing advocacy programs and campaigns before Congress and the
Administration. This fast-paced and growing association represents the nation's
leading national, regional, and specialized clinical laboratories that are on
the cutting edge of the personalized medicine revolution, genetic and molecular
testing, and vital testing services for chronic disease. The Vice President of
Government Affairs will be responsible for promoting ACLA's advocacy agenda on
reimbursement, regulatory and other issues, working with ACLA's member companies
on developing advocacy strategy, and directing grassroots and grasstops
advocacy. The Vice President of Government Affairs will work closely with ACLA's
President and other Vice Presidents in these duties.
Requirements
include:
Bachelor's degree, advanced degree preferred, a minimum of four
years lobbying and/or substantive Capitol Hill or agency experience on health
care issues, excellent writing, and communication skills, demonstrated ability
to interpret complex health policy issues, and understanding of the legislative
process.
