| Details | Issue Advocacy and State Affairs The NAM seeks a talented executive responsible for overseeing Issue Advocacy and State Affairs including staff leadership, direction and management of the State Associations Group and Council of State Manufacturers Associations. This individual will facilitate development of legislative lobbying at the state level in cooperation with NAM-affiliated state manufacturing associations and interested NAM members around the country. Qualifications include Bachelor's or Master's degree in political science, public administration or other related field with 8-10 years of relevant experience, including issue/political campaign management. Prior association experience desirable. Experience working with membership Board of Directors is preferred. Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing needs and shifting priorities. Excellent project and program management skills are important. Must possess outstanding planning/organizational skills and be highly effective communicator verbally and in writing with a demonstrated aptitude for public speaking. The ability to travel is required. |
