Experienced professional needed to advocate for member interests in assigned states by tracking, analyzing, lobbying and reporting on state legislative/regulatory activities; maintaining and expanding grassroots efforts; writing briefs and testimony, as well as summaries for communications to members; and testifying before state legislative and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree required. Five to seven years corporate or trade association experience in state government relations with thorough understanding of the legislative and regulatory process. Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience in persuasive public speaking. High degree of teamwork, organizational and project management skills. Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities with high-quality execution and performance. Understanding of distribution and/or pharmaceutical/pharmacy issues strongly preferred. Some travel required.
