The Consumer Electronics Association in Arlington, VA seeks a Sr. Manager of Environmental Policy and Sustainability to lobby and provide support to staff on environmental energy policy issues affecting the CE industry. Responsibilities include: advocate CEA position on environmental issues on legislative and regulatory matters at the state and support advocacy efforts at the federal level; maintain state legislative tracking database; provide support for CEA environmental programs, including support for events; attend and report on hearings and policy briefings and represent association at hearings and events, including political fundraisers and industry meetings; act as liaison to CEA Government Affairs Council Environmental Policy Committee (EPC); and write and produce the EPC e-mail updates to CEA's EPC and coordinate conference calls, meetings, meeting minutes, notices and agendas.
This position requires at least 4-6 years related experience working on legislative or regulatory issues and/or technology industry experience, plus a bachelor's degree in Political Science or related field. Position also requires excellent oral and written communication skills, and working knowledge of the political process, environmental law and policy.
