The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) is the preeminent US manufacturers association as well as the nation's largest industrial trade association, representing small and large manufacturers in every industrial sector and in all 50 states.
The successful candidate for this post will draft and refine to completion public addresses, talking points, editorials, blogs and other written materials for the President, Chairman and Vice Chairman (as needed) that effectively represent the policies and priorities of the National Association of Manufacturers. This individual will work directly with NAM's senior management and staff to become thoroughly familiar with the organization's policies and priorities in order to stay abreast of evolving policies and to be able at all times to draft speeches, editorials and other communications that are up to date and accurately reflect the NAM's current positions.
Qualifications : A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of experience in public affairs, business and economic issues and speech writing is required.. Also, the well qualified candidate should possess/develop a working knowledge of all major NAM policy issues and the ability to work effectively with C-level executives and other high ranking senior managers. Outstanding organization and communication skills are essential.
Strong interpersonal skills, focus on teamwork, good judgment, motivation, professionalism, initiative and innovation are attributes for success in this post.
