Speech Writer

Job Type: Permanent (Full Time)

We are currently searching for an experienced Speech Writer - English on behalf of our prestigious client in Doha, Qatar.

The Role
• Writing speeches, editorials and articles for key personnel as and when required.
• Identify, write and edit a broad variety of strategic level communications in English for internal and external audiences globally.
• Provide advice and guidance to executive management on key messages, appropriate tone, target audiences and suitable communication channel.
• Work closely with all department heads and communication partners across the organization to ensure consistent messaging among the leadership team.
• Liaise with PR department to understand events or engagement specifics and to incorporate relevant messages.
• Maintain and update electronic library of public addresses, articles and speeches.
• Research and obtain information relevant to the subject matter in order to clearly illustrate the point being conveyed.

The Requirements
• Educated to University Degree level in Journalism, Public Affairs or relevant Degree, Masters Degree is a bonus.
• At least 5 - 7 years in writing speeches for Diplomats, Department Heads and other senior dignitaries'.
• Excellent English writing skills including ability to define and write key messages about complex issues in a clear, concise and understandable prose understood by all audiences.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with various senior management and officials across Qatar Government ministries.
