The Specialist, Lobbying Compliance and Campaign Finance Disclosure Reporting will be responsible for the collection, distillation, and preparation of Walgreen's lobbying activity & campaign finance reports within each Federal, state, and/or municipal requirements.

The Specialist, Lobbying Compliance and Campaign Finance Disclosure Reporting will be responsible for the collection, distillation, and preparation of Walgreen's lobbying activity & campaign finance reports within each Federal, state, and/or municipal requirements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develops and communicates timeliness reporting requirements to meet specific Federal, State, and/or municipal lobby interactions and campaign finance reports. Provides Walgreen's internal and contract lobbyist with the timelines.
- Ensures that all necessary information for lobbying compliance reporting, such as names of public official(s) contacted, venue, expense and campaign contribution amounts, and subject matter, are provided by Walgreen's internal and/or contract lobbyist. Follows-up with lobbyist on missing, untimely, and/or substandard reports to ensure timeliness requirements are met.
- Collects, distills, and prepares preliminary lobbying report based upon required standards of the reporting entity and provides draft reports to the Director, Government Affairs for approval.
- Files approved lobbying reports with each Federal, state, and/or municipal lobbying reporting entity through electronic or hard-copy media and ensure receipt of such reports.
- Responds to lobbying reporting inquiries relating to missing/substandard reports and takes appropriate action to resolve the issue; referring only the more complex or legally sensitive matters to the Director, Government Affairs.
- Develops routine and ad-hoc reports and tools for end-user leaders intended to afford a transparent view of current status of lobbying interactions and campaign contributions irrespective of the requesting entity and lobbyist reporting compliance.
- Routinely has access to sensitive lobbying, financial, and human resources data necessary for completion of required reporting and ensures the confidentiality of such information, disclosing such information solely to those authorized individuals within Government Affairs and/or lobbying reporting requesting entities.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED with at least 2 years of experience providing administrative support in a legal, lobbyist, and/or government affairs organization.
- Experience coordinating and scheduling multiple events simultaneously.
- Experience evaluating information to determine compliance with standards, laws, and regulations.
- Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office 2003 or later: Word (for example: creating and modifying text styles, numbering and sorting lists, working with sections and columns, formatting tables, and using templates and using diagrams and drawing tools), Excel (for example: formatting text and borders of cells, working with workbooks and worksheets, using range names, referencing cells, sorting, and auto filtering) and PowerPoint (for example: creating presentations, adding and removing slides, entering and formatting text, applying design templates, modifying masters, inserting graphics and objects, creating handouts).
