Reports To: Vice President, Issue Advocacy
SevenTwenty Strategies, an award-winning public affairs firm located in downtown Washington, DC, seeks a full-time Account Director to manage some of its most prestigious client relationships. If selected, you will join a creative, fun and highly professional team committed to client excellence. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits reporting to the Vice President of Issue Advocacy.
Essential Functions:
- Serving as the primary point of contact for SevenTwenty accounts assigned to you;
- Directing the design, development and delivery of client deliverables, such as issue websites, brochures, videos, PPT presentations, online and offline advertising campaigns and other materials;
- Developing and managing production schedules for client deliverables;
- Interacting and managing artists, writers, Web designers and developers and video production staff to achieve client goals;
- Overseeing project budgets and ensuring that projects are completed on-budget and on-time;
- Developing advocacy communications strategies based upon an understanding of client goals;
- Analyzing client results, such as Web traffic, online recruitment, direct mail response rates and other results and recommending strategic adjustments to achieve client goals;
- Negotiating and placing online advertising;
- Leading online marketing campaigns, including conducting A/B testing to strengthen email response rates;
- Managing client websites using Expression Engine and Capwiz XC;
- Writing professional advocacy alerts, strategic memos, speeches, email newsletters and other client deliverables;
- Providing quality assurance and testing of sites you manage;
- Reviewing and editing material for posting online;
- Troubleshooting production issues and client special needs; and
- Leading regular meetings, conference calls and webinars with clients and providing proactive account leadership.
Additional requirements include:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- A minimum of three years of direct experience leading client relationships or working in an Association or corporate environment providing similar skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, namely Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and be able to prioritize appropriately
- Can work with tight deadlines
- Interest in politics and current affairs with a drive to understand how the Internet plays a role in politics and advocacy
- Interest in working with a multitude of clients ranging from large corporations to trade associations to smaller non-profits
- Must be a motivated self-starter with a “can do” attitude
- Must enjoy working as part of a diverse team that likes to have fun but is driven to meet client deadlines and exceed expectations
