POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for providing research and legislative analysis to support the Workforce Freedom Initiative (WFI), a grassroots mobilization and advocacy campaign to preserve democracy in the American workplace.
Perform legal, legislative, and academic research; compile and analyze data from a variety of sources; write effective communications to business leaders, member organizations, and political officials; compile briefings for meetings; oversee products, correspondence, and logistics; support fundraising by researching company prospects; and represent WFI at meetings, hearings, and conferences.
REQUIREMENTS:
College degree and 5+ years' experience conducting legal research in government or a trade association dealing with labor issues; excellent verbal and written communications skills; proven program management and sound judgment; knowledge of legislative and rulemaking processes; strong organization and time management; able to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision and interact with all levels of personnel; flexibility to work extended hours; and proficiency in MS Office and Lexis-Nexis.
