POSITION SUMMARY
Develop and execute internal and external communications programs for the SC Johnson business in Europe to strategically enhance the company’s image and reputation.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the planning, preparation, and distribution of all public relations programs, news releases or events, video news releases, and other media materials relating to Europe.
Serve as the lead media liaison for SC Johnson in Europe, particularly in managing issues.
Manage agency and vendor relationships across the region, particularly working with the PR agency of record across Europe.
Develop and initiate key messages for internal and external audiences, ensuring that all materials and employee communications reflect authorized SC Johnson positioning and key messages.
Provide counsel to the Europe based company president as required regarding employee communications, media coverage, media-related activities, and issues management.
Provide coaching and counsel to other senior managers on both internal and external communications issues and opportunities.
Draft and release organizational announcements in accordance with company policy to facilitate employee understanding and commitment to key business changes.
Provide support to key regional projects.
Represent SC Johnson Europe on the communication committees of relevant trade associations.
Develop and manage project budgets as they pertain to Europe.
Manage administrative assistant, including performance management and coaching.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge through personal training and development.
Perform other responsibilities and assist with special projects as needed.

Possesses advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; intermediate knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
Able to travel up to 15% of the time.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in business, public relations, communications or related field, MBA desired
Seven-ten years of public relations experience in corporate, PR agency or consulting environment
Global work experience
Previous consumer products experience desired
