Senior Director of Public Policy

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), the leading national not-for-profit organization exclusively dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide, seeks a senior professional highly motivated to achieve AFSP's public policy goals.  The incumbent will have the chance to help shape our nation's response to a health problem that takes an enormous toll on families, friends and communities across the country.  This new position provides the selected candidate with a unique opportunity to lead the development and implementation of policy strategy, advocacy initiatives, communications efforts, and partnerships and coalitions at the local, state and national levels.  The Senior Director will manage AFSP's Washington, D.C.
