Job Details
The BBC Public Affairs team provides the link between Parliament and the BBC as an institution. As Senior Adviser, you'll provide strategic and tactical political & parliamentary insight and advice to senior colleagues throughout the BBC. You'll directly represent the BBC to Ministers, Opposition spokespeople, other Parliamentarians and leading members of the wider political community through both face-to-face contact and written communications. Working closely with the Head of Public Affairs, you'll take a lead in representing the BBC to Parliament around key legislation and debates.
Proven experience in Political communications at a senior level is essential. You'll need extensive knowledge of cross party politics and the workings of Parliament along with a track record of delivering legislative and other political projects. The role will also require strategic and imaginative thinking to develop new ways of communicating in the broad political arena.
