Riverbed Technology is seeking a smart, detail-oriented PR Specialist. This person will be responsible for supporting the US PR team to drive media coverage and promote customer success. We are looking for an organized entry-level professional who has the desire to support a PR team while honing their own PR skills from the ground up. This person must be a detail-oriented, organized professional that can work in a fast-paced market. The individual must have a basic understanding of public relations practices, such as competitive monitoring, media relations, analyst relations and social media.

This person will have the following responsibilities:

• Competitive news monitoring
• Press release writing and distribution
• Manage awards program and editorial calendar
• Tracking and reporting media and analyst relations activity
• Ongoing tracking and reporting of customer reference program
• Media relations
• Report creation for overall PR program
• Invoice tracking
• Managing the PR portal to communicate with international agencies

• Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline preferred.
• 1 - 2 years of experience practicing Public Relations at a PR agency or in-house.
• Desire to work with enterprise technology
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills; must be a strong multi-tasker
• Strong project management skills with the ability to take initiative and follow thru
