The City of Irvine seeks a proactive, action oriented and result driven individual to serve as the Public Information Officer (PIO) for the Orange County Great Park.  This individual will serve as a confident liaison between the Great Park and various groups and organizations and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Orange County Great Park's public outreach efforts. The PIO will direct, plan and organize a comprehensive public relations program, coordinate media and community relations activities and ensure effective publicity and outreach for the Park.  The PIO reports to and works under the direction of the City's Director of Public Affairs and Communications and will be assigned to the Orange County Great Park.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in journalism, public administration, communications, public relations/marketing or related field and six years of professional journalism, marketing, media or public relations experience.
