A global humanitarian organization is actively searching for a Public Affairs Officer to join a 5-person team. This role will entail developing an academic network in order to promote the teaching of international humanitarian law and of humanitarian action during times of conflict. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of experience in building and strengthening an academic outreach program. Knowledge of international humanitarian law and/or humanitarian action is ideal but the successful candidate can also come from backgrounds such as public policy and government engagement with academia. The DC office has a small diverse staff that handles very important work with an international reach. The next team member will be a strategic brainstormer who can take initiative once approval of an idea is given.
