Requirements:
Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in any of the following: public relations, communications, or journalism. MBA a plus. Minimum one year of experience in public affairs or communications. Excellent writing and verbal communications skills as well as strong organizational and project planning skills required.
- Knowledgeable in public affairs and AP Style
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to work independently
- Knowledgeable in internet research
Key responsibilities will include:
- Consumer education program coordination
- Writing and editing (newsletter articles, press releases, web site material, statements, brochures, announcements)
- Event support (logistics, on site, etc.)
- General media relations support (tracking coverage, preparing reports, research, pitching, fielding media requests)
- Administrative support
