We are currently seeking an Account Representative for our office in Columbus, Ohio.  The ideal candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of public affairs initiatives for Clients, with a focus on external communications and support for internal and community programs. Primary responsibilities of the Account Representative include:

Strategize and plan public affairs campaigns for clients across a wide range of industries.

Development of timelines, targets and deliverables. 

Plan and implement grassroots and grasstops campaigns. 

Work with the media to develop and distribute a message to a variety of target audiences.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can write exceptionally well across a broad spectrum of disciplines (news releases, media pitches, speeches, by-line articles, presentation materials, program proposals, strategy pieces, etc.). Candidate must be able to assemble and lead teams, and turn projects around quickly.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

2 to 4 years of related work experience with two years in a communications environment within a public relations firm, corporate environment, political campaign or staff position.  

Special consideration will be given to candidates with a background working for an elected official, either on staff or on their campaign or for experience working for or with trade associations.
