Leading Washington-based real estate trade association representing prominent multifamily firms seeks a political action committee director to develop and implement strategy to increase NMHC member PAC participation and contributions. Work closely with the PAC Chairman and Leadership Team under the direction of the Senior Vice President for Government Affairs. The individual reports to the Senior Vice President for Government Affairs and will engage in a wide range of activities including:
- design effective communications strategy to motivate and inform NMHC membership;
- prepare detailed reports on fundraising, member participation and use of PAC proceeds for PAC leadership and membership in general;
- administer PAC data bases;
- design and schedule PAC/Congressional events for NMHC members contributing to the PAC;
- regularly contact the PAC Chairman and leadership to discuss fund raising strategy and performance;
- in concert with and at the direction of the SVP, help set PAC distribution priorities;
- oversee the filing of all FEC and Hill documents in a timely and accurate manner; and
- manage the PAC bank account.
The ideal candidate will have ten years of significant fund raising and/or Capitol Hill legislative experience and knowledge of FEC laws and Senate ethics rules. In addition, the candidate must possess excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills, and proficiency with such software as Windows, MS Office, Word, and PowerPoint would be a plus.
