Public Notice, a 501 (c) 4 non-partisan economic focused organization seeks to fill its Policy and Legislative Research Director position.
The Policy and Legislative Research Director is responsible for overseeing the policy direction of the group. In addition, he or she will monitor key votes and activities on Capitol Hill and the Executive Branch that impact the group's mission. The Director will be responsible for the production and coordination of creating position papers, talking points, OpEds, fact sheets and other written and research projects. He/she will also coordinate with the communications team to ensure accuracy in data and appropriate policy as promoted in our print, television, radio and new media advertisements and videos.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
A minimum of 5 years of related legislative or policy experience - experience on Capitol Hill or in the executive branch a plus
Good understanding of economic and fiscal policy
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
Ability to work independently and think strategically
Preference for working in a fast-paced and creative work environment
A personal political philosophy compatible with the organization's mission and public policy objectives
Self-motivated, organized team player, with a high sense of urgency, and passion for economic freedom.
