PAC Senior Specialist

POSITION DESCRIPTION: KBR PAC Senior Specialist
The KBR PAC
Senior Specialist will be responsible for the management and administration of
the Company's Political Action Committee (PAC) as directed by the Government
Relations Director. The KBRPAC Senior Specialist will manage the administration
of the PAC, including all day-to-day operations of the PAC as well as election
reporting and compliance. The KBR PAC Senior Specialist will also, among other
responsibilities, develop and implement PAC solicitation programs to achieve
fundraising goals and campaign contribution strategies to complement policy
objectives. Functional job responsibilities include, but are not limited
to:
§ Oversight of reporting obligations to ensure compliance with applicable
federal, state, and local election laws and timely filing with election
authorities of all required reports
§ Creation and implementation of PAC
solicitation messages and strategies to achieve fundraising goals, including
marketing materials and presentations to employee eligible groups
§
Day-to-day management of PAC administration and operations, including oversight
of accounting functions, receipts and disbursements, payroll deductions, outside
vendors and consultants, contribution requests and check processing
§
Development and management of PAC contribution strategy to support Company's
policy objectives, including candidate recommendations, contribution amounts and
timing, and political research and analysis
§ Production of periodic internal
PAC reports and PAC data as needed
§ Planning and preparation for and
execution of regular PAC Executive Committee meetings
§ Management of payroll
and human resources processes related to the PAC
§ Regular communication
through various means with PAC Executive Committee and restricted classes
regarding KBRPAC initiatives and updates, including annual PAC report
§
Updating and maintaining PAC website and databases
§ Coordination of PAC
initiatives and Government Relations outreach activities as needed
§
Development and management of outreach communication to employees generally on
legislative matters and political engagement, including voter information
guides, candidate education initiatives, and other grassroots programs
§
Facilitation of relationship building with candidates and campaigns, including
organizing candidate visits and interactions with the Company, attending
political events, and keeping abreast of ethics rules governing visits,
interactions and candidate support

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL
REQUIREMENTS:
§ Bachelor's degree
§ 5+ years experience in PAC
administration/management and fundraising
§ Strong familiarity with campaign
finance and election laws and filing, reporting and compliance requirements
§
Financial skills including ability to reconcile bank accounts, payroll and
reporting issues
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
including presentation and public speaking skills
§ Strong interpersonal
skills, tact, and diplomacy
§ Attention to detail and timing
§ Ability to
work independently
§ Firm understanding of and interest in political and
legislative processes
§ Solid organizational, research, and analytical
skills
§ Ability to exercise sound judgment in sharing and communicating
information internally and externally
§ High level of creativity and openness
to new programs and technologies
