Public Notice seeks a New Media Director to manage and expand the online presence of Public Notice and its issue projects (like Bankrupting America). This includes developing and executing the new media strategy; managing the development and design of issue projects' microsites; overseeing the production and release of all online content; building communities via social networks (mainly Facebook and Twitter); and running earned and paid online media marketing efforts; and foster a culture of creativity among the new media team members to find new ways to promote and create content.
Minimum Requirements:
4-6 years experience in new media communications roles
A self-starter with a track record of creative, outside-the-box thinking
A strong interest in finding new ways to share and promote content using technology and the web
A strong interest in communicating economic policies to mainstream audiences to make America better
Attention to detail
Good writer and blogger
Hill, campaign, or issue advocacy experience a plus
Desirable, but not necessary: web development experience with open-source software like WordPress, design experience, video production experience, and ability to edit short-form copy.
The goal of Public Notice is to advance open markets and economic growth by educating Americans on key economic and fiscal issues.
