POSITION: Media Relations Manager

WorldatWork, a global human resources association, seeks a seasoned communications professional to create, manage and execute public and media relations to expand our organization's reach, profile, presence and credibility.  Based in our Washington DC Offices and Conference Center, you will envision, design and implement media relations initiatives; develop and nurture productive and enduring relationships with journalists; and leverage our association's extensive intellectual capital to educate the media and other constituencies about total rewards strategies to attract, motivate and retain employees. As part of our communications leadership team, you will help decide and create message positioning and content deployment to advance WorldatWork as the authority and thought leader about employee engagement and business success.

The successful candidate will have a deep background in public and media relations in Washington, D.C., with extensive non-partisan experience in public policy issues. This individual must have at least 10 years of progressively responsible journalism and media relations experience, and connections with national and global news media. Strong writing, interpersonal and public speaking skills are critical. Human resources knowledge and association, not-for-profit organization and/or government experience are a plus. Bachelor's and/or master's degree in journalism, public relations, communications or related field is required.
