Managing Director Community Benefits

In this role, you will provide leadership and management to operations in cross functional areas within Community Benefit. You will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, evaluating, and improving a portfolio of community benefit programs/services. You will set policy and align strategic goals and objectives in areas of Community Benefit Programs, Grants and Donations, Community Health, and Educational Theater Program to promote Kaiser Permanente's social mission and supporting Kaiser Permanente's not-for-profit status in close coordination with Program Office and Medical Center Areas. In addition, you will ensure financial compliance to all internal and external requirements.

Qualifications include:
  • At least ten years of relevant experience in operations of community/public benefit programs
  • Seven years of management experience
  • Experience in government entities, community health, and building relationships with elected officials and community leaders
  • A bachelor's degree in public health, public or business administration, or health services administration; a master's degree is preferred
  • Knowledge of both private and public health care systems, evaluation measures and methods, public policy, and community needs assessments
  • Excellent ability to build consensus on strategies among peers and across different reporting structures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, negotiation, public speaking, influence and collaboration skills with both executive teams and multidisciplinary groups
  • Familiarity with new media and communication tools and vehicles
  • Strong knowledge of diversity strategies, principles, and practices
