GUIDE TO THE POSITION - DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Office Management of calendars, event and itinerary planning, hospitality during events
2. In conjunction with the 3rd party public affairs firm, support coalition management and presentation materials, letter writing campaigns, phone calls to industry and other POC, press release management, as required.
3. In support of the 3rd party legislative firm, support correspondence, data gathering, and preparation of presentation materials as directed.
4. In support of the 3rd party media relations team, support efforts to produce video, gather data, create presentations, make contact with required internal parties to respond to media inquiries.
5. Support BDMs and VP of GR with miscellaneous administrative needs as occasionally required.
6. Keep efficient and well organized files for access and legal review purposes.
7. Interface with PAC administration
SPECIFICATIONS OF THE POSITION:
A. Minimum education required: Bachelors Degree
B. Minimum experience required:
1. 4 - 5 years of experience with federal or state government elected official and a general understanding of the calendar and its relevance to the priority of activities.
2. or, 4 - 5 years of experience with the DoD or other federal agencies
3. or, 4 - 5 years as Legislative Aide
4. or, 4 - 5 years as Executive Assistant
5. or, 4 - 5 years with Public Affairs or Media Relations firm
C. Required Skills:
1. Mastery of Excel, Power Point, Word, Data and file management, Outlook, Web data mining competencies
2. Letter and report writing skills
3. Sales experience skills: confidence in engaging and conversing with high level officials; basic understanding of formalities in phone calls, correspondence replies and urgencies; concise and efficient messaging in these venues; some working knowledge/experience with the relevance of tactics to a strategy and discerning relevance in a given communication.
4. Maturity, professional appearance, and a sense of urgency/motivation/drive
5. Travel experience, and the planning of itineraries and small scale events
D. Description of working conditions/physical surroundings: Office environment/ travel between DC and Atlanta on frequent basis. Residence within driving proximity to either DC or Atlanta
