WorldatWork, (www.worldatwork.org) the premier non-partisan HR association devoted to employee pay and rewards, is looking for a senior Public Affairs professional to join its Washington, D.C. Office, located near McPherson Square Metro Station. 

The successful candidate will work to educate U.S. public policy-makers and the press about pay, benefits, work-life and other rewards practices that engage employees and deliver business results. This new position is responsible for helping grow the public policy presence of WorldatWork and directs and oversees all public affairs (PA) related work including but not limited to congressional / federal interface /influence, public policy issue positioning and strategy, advocacy campaigns, etc .  In collaboration with Public Policy (PP), Public Relations (PR) and Marketing ensures that communications, messaging and position statements are developed and delivered to support and advance organizational, business and advocacy strategy.

A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of seven - ten years of experience in media relations with specific experience on public policy issues, experience managing advocacy campaigns on complex issues, experience in working in cross-functional teams on message strategy and media training.   The successful candidate will have strong writing, communication, interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in outreach to diverse audiences, constituents and partners.   Undergraduate degree in journalism, communications, public relations, public policy or related field is preferred.
