CompTIA, the leading trade association for the global IT industry, has an immediate opening for a Manager, Public Advocacy. The selected individual will take the lead role in PAC Administration; and through PAC work, support the Public Advocacy Team in developing, advocating, and implementing public policy positions.
Job Duties:
Collaborate with association staff and membership to refine the public policy objectives of the industry.
Grow PAC participation and communicate with membership developments that impact their business and demonstrate effectiveness of PAC support.
Develop PAC events and supporting materials.
Coordinate PAC matters with core public advocacy issues development.
Build coalitions with industry trade associations and third parties to support public policy positions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study.
1-2 years of relevant work experience.
Must be willing to work in Washington, DC.
Congressional and Executive branch contacts preferred.
Strong communication skills to influence and effectively lead internal and external audiences to desired outcomes.
