Walgreens is seeking an experienced public policy analyst. Duties
include, but are not limited to, policy development and analysis on Medicare
Part D, Medicaid, health care delivery and payment models, and other issues
impacting Walgreens business interests. Analyst will be responsible researching
and assessing the potential impact of pending legislation and regulation and
preparing advocacy materials including issue analysis, white papers,
informational materials, and presentations. Approximately 10 - 20% travel may be
required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
5 years experience in public
policy.
Experience establishing & maintaining
relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the
business community & with vendors.
Experience with
analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions
to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
Experience communicating verbally (on phone, one-on-one) and in writing
(emails, letters, reports) to both internal and external customers.
Experience using time management skills such as
prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple
projects with varying completion dates.
Intermediate
level skill in Microsoft Office 2003 or later: Word (for example: creating and
modifying text styles, numbering and sorting lists, working with sections and
columns, formatting tables, and using templates and using diagrams and drawing
tools), Excel (for example: formatting text and borders of cells, working with
workbooks and worksheets, using range names, referencing cells, sorting, and
auto filtering) and PowerPoint (for example: creating presentations, adding and
removing slides, entering and formatting text, applying design templates,
modifying masters, inserting graphics and objects, creating handouts).
