The National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) seeks a Manager of Grassroots and Political Programs. This individual will plan and organize all aspects of the annual Washington Fly-In; manage the political action committee; work with NACD members to schedule Member of Congress visits to their facilities; develop additional tools, training, and guidance to assist members in carrying out grassroots advocacy activities; and manage a portfolio of general business issues through participation in industry coalitions.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor's degree; at least three years experience with campaigns or in the grassroots or political department of a company or trade association; knowledge of Federal Election Commission PAC regulations; strong writing skills to motivate individuals to take action; excellent in-person communication skills, including the ability to relate to business owners/CEOs; strong organizational skills; a working knowledge of on-line advocacy tools; and enthusiasm for politics and political communication.
