Manager, Government Relations

DETAILS 

The Business Software Alliance (BSA), the foremost organization dedicated to promoting a safe and legal digital world, is seeking a qualified candidate to assist the Senior Director, Government Relations in lobbying and public relations efforts on behalf of the US software industry. The Manager will conduct legislative research, develop and maintain relationships with BSA member company representatives, third-parties and appropriate Congressional staff, committees and Members, and will provide support for the administration and implementation of the BSA Political Action Committee.
Our ideal candidate must have demonstrated superior written and oral communications skills, as well as excellent organizational, problem-solving and deadline-meeting skills. The successful candidate will also have the ability to work professionally and productively with diverse professionals at all levels of seniority and a proactive, self-sufficient, can-do attitude. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in political science or a related field, and a minimum of 2 years prior experience working on the Hill and/or with other lobbying organizations. Background and experience on IP, workforce, tax, or telecom issues is a plus.
