The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a External Affairs Intern for our Government Relations Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Essential Job Functions:
The GR Intern will assist with the coordination and execution of tasks such as w riting of reports and memos, research on legislative and regulatory issues, develop charts and graphs.

Job Description :
· Assist in managing the outreach, communication, and follow up to 3 rd party policy organizations, civil and human rights organizations, policy think tanks and intergovernmental organizations
· Research regulations & legislation and prepare written analysis of issues affecting the Company
· Attend hearings, briefings and policy conferences and provide written reports or summaries of meetings
· Assist in coordination of corporate sponsorship for 3 rd party organization conferences & galas.
· Assist in the review of the research papers for the TWC research program -and in tracking the edits and "fact-checking" of the manuscripts of the authors
Job Requirements :
· College, graduate student, law student -or recent graduate
· Strong writing and communication skills, some knowledge of regulatory and legislative process
· Interest in government affairs, lobbying, telecommunications, technology & broadband public policy issues
· Motivated self-starter, good interpersonal skills

Education and Experience:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) program, or a graduating senior in May 2011 or a law student completing first year of law school.
