An experienced professional is sought to join the WW Governmental Programs staff of a large information integration and technology company. Specifically, the candidate will join the US Government Relations team, advocating on Capitol Hill for issues that impact the company's business direction. In addition to legislative and political expertise, appropriations and information technology industry backgrounds are differentiators.
Responsibilities include:
Establishing and advancing relationships with elected officials
Lobbying the legislative branch.
Developing and executing successful legislative strategies and campaigns.
Cultivating the company grasstops and grassroots programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in STEM, or political science is differentiating. Advanced degree is preferred. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of experience with the US Congress or association, including work with appropriations, a strong network of Hill contacts; and a proven track record of advancing important public policies.
Relevant leadership experiences and skills include: outcomes orientation; excellent relationship and political skills; organizational astuteness and navigating through a matrixed organization; comfort with change and a fast paced dynamic environment; ease in working both independently and as a team; and client orientation. Superior written and oral communications skills are critical.
