Required qualifications:
Applicants should have a substantive knowledge of Medicare and/or healthcare issues, a bachelor's or master's degree and strong communications and writing skills. Applicant must be self-motivated, proactive and able to work collaboratively with staff and members. Must be willing to travel. Additional healthcare policy experience is preferred. Position: Government Affairs Representative
Duties and responsibilities:
- Serve as primary liaison with MGMA members. Respond to technical inquiries, and educate members in regard to Medicare Part B policy and regulation
- Regularly give presentations on pertinent healthcare legislation/regulation to State and National members
- Monitor, research and analyze policy changes relevant to members and the organization
- Contribute to the development of articles, comment letters, issue briefs, etc. as needed
- Coordinate the organization's grassroots efforts
