Job Description: As a member of this team, you would
contribute to CDM's mission by performing extensive secretarial and
administrative support duties:
* Assist with
legislative projects and research, including monitoring key legislative and
committee action
* Monitor the
congressional schedule and cover hearings as required.
* Prepare Memoranda
on various legislative activities
* Develop and
maintain a legislative filing system.
* Distribute daily
clippings of Hill activities from various publications
* Oversee Action
Alerts to Senior Management
* Oversee
compilation of Hill visit materials and folders
* Maintain
congressional mailing lists.
* Handle
arrangements for Hill briefings.
* Assist in
tracking budget and expenditures
* Assist with PAC
activities
* Responsible for
tracking source of and analyzing state and federal initiatives in target areas
* Manage DC event
logistics, including coordinating, planning and developing of events, securing
locations and maintaining invite and attendee lists
* Research, compile
and edit monthly government relations legislative update
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree
* 3-5 years
experience working in Washington in a government relations office.
*Mastery level
computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Access,
PowerPoint)
