TechAmerica Europe is recruiting an EU affairs manager with a special focus on Environment (e.g. phase-out of hazardous substances, electronic take-back, and eco-design). The candidate will have the following responsibilities:

* facilitate technical discussion amongst Member companies,
* formulate timely contributions to EU decision-makers,
* undertake research and provide information support to Members (primarily through our intranet).

This person must be hard working and prepared to work occasionally beyond traditional office hours; have excellent communication and organisational skills; strong knowledge of EU policy making and interest in the high-tech sector. Knowledge/experience of one or all of the following policy areas: Rohs / WEEE / EuP / REACH / New-Approach (NLF) a big plus. English fluent plus another EU language. 3-5 years experience in private, public or NGO sector. University degree.
