Steptoe and Johnson, LLP, seeks energy government affairs professional for position in the government affairs practice of the Firm. Candidate must have superb ability to work with clients, congressional staff, and colleagues. Capitol Hill experience required. Strong preference will be given to candidates with Senate Energy Committee experience, either as a committee staffer or an energy staffer for a member on the Committee. Excellent writing and research skills needed. Responsibilities will include contacts with Capitol Hill; research and writing of advocacy papers, issue briefs and letters; monitoring and reporting on legislative developments; strategic thinking; and working with agencies.
