Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, is seeking a Division Chair - Government Relations to shape and implement a proactive government relations strategy and effectively advocate for participation in the health care policy arena. Responsibilities include identifying opportunities to leverage state and federal funds, coordinating responses to public policy positions, developing an infrastructure and team to implement strategy and communicating with policy makers in Congress, agencies and various groups. 

Candidates must have a master's degree in public policy or a related field (Juris Doctor preferred). We require 10+ years of relevant experience working with government and public policy agencies and 7 years of supervisory experience. Background must include knowledge of the political and legislative processes, a proven track record in developing a highly functioning corporate government relations team at state and federal levels, established relationships in healthcare and highly effective advocacy skills. Extensive travel will be required.
