A prestigious scientific membership society will be hiring an experienced communications specialist to manage its public affairs activities. You will build relationships with national print & digital media outlets and oversee a team that re-purposes technical information for general audiences.
This is a full-time, staff position. Compensation includes a competitive salary plus generous association benefits. This role is key to the organization's growth and will allow the new Director to build an influential communications department.
You should have 10-plus years in science communications, journalism, public affairs, or academic publishing. Supervisory experience is important.
