NPRA, a national energy industry trade association representing the domestic refining and petrochemical industries, is seeking a dynamic individual for its new Director of Outreach position. The Association's Director of Outreach will provide overall management of and leadership for the association's grassroots, grasstops, and coalition-building advocacy program. Primary responsibilities will include leadership and coordination of the outreach program within the Association's departments, management of outside consultants to implement and expand the outreach program, and liaison with the Association's members on their corporate outreach and grassroots efforts in connection with federal legislative and regulatory issues. This position reports directly to the Executive Vice President.

The successful candidate will have, at minimum, a Bachelors degree and at least six years of professional experience in one or more of the following fields: grassroots issues advocacy; issues or candidate campaign management; and, federal legislative affairs. This individual also will possess excellent organizational, leadership and written and oral communications skills. A general knowledge of the energy industries and new media communications will be strong plusses for the candidate. The position will require occasional domestic travel.
