    This is a leading pharmaceutical company worldwide dedicated in developing more products and enhancing their strength in medical research. To cope with expansion plans, this organisation is looking for a high calibre communications professional to join the regional team. Reporting to the Global Media & PR Director in the head office, with the objective to position the company as the industry leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications initiatives across Asia.

    You will focus on strengthening international and local media relations; manage corporate reputation and issues; maximise media coverage on healthcare issues and develop media strategies to support philanthropic activities etc. Working closely with senior management and business units, you will provide strategic communications counselling; media training for local market leaders and enhance communications effectiveness across teams and markets. You will also act as a spokesperson for the company. Frequent travel (about 30%) is required.

    To qualify, you have a degree in a related discipline with at least 10 years’ experience in media relations and PR within international pharmaceutical, biotech, medical or other research environment. Solid top-tier healthcare and business media relationships are vital to the success of the role.

    With strong business acumen, you are self-motivated, influential, confident in developing cooperative relations with senior management and key stakeholders. You are equipped with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory whilst Cantonese or Mandarin is highly preferred.
