| Primary Responsibilities:
Position directs the Federal and State legislative and government affairs activities for OSI. Recommends and implements strategies to influence government actions which affect OSI's business initiatives and strategy. This position will report to General Counsel and will be the only headcount within Government Affairs. Work location is negotiable, and can be field based. Extensive travel between Washington DC and Melville and/or Albany, NY is required. Responsibilities include:

| Education/Experience Required:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree. An advanced degree in law, public policy or related discipline is strongly preferred. A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in government or industry developing and communicating public policy positions and strategies affecting the healthcare industry in the U.S. is required. Requires substantial knowledge of legislative and political practices, specifically on both the federal and state level. Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills are required. Ability to travel, including off-hours and weekends, is a necessity. |
