Director of Communications and External Relations

The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), an independent federal agency which supervises all U.S. government-supported, non-military international broadcasting, is seeking a Director of Communications and External Relations to develop and direct the BBG's communications and external relations strategies and activities

Applicants must have comprehensive knowledge of the mission, goals, function, organization, and operations of the broad range of federally-funded international broadcasting organizations; expert knowledge and executive level experience in international affairs and foreign policy objectives of the U.S.;  thorough knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of communications, public affairs, and the media, demonstrated executive level experience in Congressional relations; and experience in successfully representing organizations at the executive level with government agencies, international organizations and before Congress.
