Position Description

• Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics
• Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce
• Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals
• Directs policy development and the legislative and regulatory management process
• Drives business growth across assigned functions and business units for Walmart's U.S. operations
• Manages selection and performance of Public Affairs and Government Relations suppliers (for example, lobbyist and media consultants, polling and public affairs firms, trade and business associations)
• Oversees management and execution of Foundation giving initiatives
• Oversees the implementation of political strategies for Walmart's U.S. business units
• Provides overall direction for Public Affairs and Government Relations
• Provides strategic direction for achieving Walmart's legislative and regulatory needs for assigned functions and business unit

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Communications, Political Science, Business, or related field and 5 years experience managing projects or campaigns in politics, public affairs, public policy, or related field OR 7 years experience in managing projects or campaigns in politics, public affairs, public policy, or related field.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of supervisory experience.
• 3 years corporate experience involving direct media relations or coalition building.
• 3 years direct lobbying experience.
• 3 years government relations experience in a Fortune 500 company.
• Managerial experience running political election or grassroots advocacy campaign(s).
