This is a senior-level position overseeing the Public Affairs Council's research and trend analysis publications and management consulting practice. Director works with national polling firm to manage our annual Public Affairs Pulse survey on American attitudes about business. Also serves as executive director of the Foundation for Public Affairs, which publishes reports on emerging issues in the public affairs field. Recent reports have covered crisis communication, risk management, social media, government relations in China and other topics.
This individual must be an accomplished writer with expertise in public affairs, politics and business. Understanding of survey methodology is essential, since we regularly conduct benchmarking reports on management practices. We also are looking for a strategic thinker who is talented in client development/relations so that we can build our management consulting practice. This position reports to the Council president and is a member of our senior leadership team.
Candidates should have 10 years' experience working for a company, association or other nonprofit. Management-level experience is required.
