Job Description:
National is looking for a qualified Corporate Export Compliance Manager to
oversee and set the strategic direction for our global trade compliance
programs. The person will be responsible for developing, implementing, and
managing the company's export activities world wide. Operational activities, policies, procedures,
training, and metrics are all essential elements of the role.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee and coordinate all export compliance for all National locations
- Provide hands on program and functional management export and deemed export activities
- Provide direction to a global team of Site Export Administrators
- Collaborate with and train various functional groups, including Legal, IS, HR, Security Finance, Product Lines and Logistics to ensure regulatory compliance and alignment of priorities to business objectives
- Advise management on trade compliance initiatives, objectives and associated risks
- Further develop and administer compliance programs such as product licensing, ITAR, VEU, and deemed exports
- Stay current on applicable laws and regulations issued by various government agencies and translate them into business practices
- Conduct meetings/assessments/training with site personnel worldwide to ensure implementation of the company's export compliance procedures and contractual obligations
- Manage relationships with government authorities
- Partner with Internal Audit in assessments of Site Compliance evaluations
- Participate in relevant outside trade compliance groups
- Acting as an Empowered Official may be required
Qualifications include:
- Experience in the administration and running of a comprehensive export compliance program
- Thorough and demonstrated knowledge of US EAR and ITAR regulations
- Excellent analytical skills and a proven ability to interpret and implement regulations
- Strong communications (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational, prioritization and planning skills
- Ability to independently develop, lead, drive projects and initiatives to closure
- Management experience in a compliance environment of a multinational corporation
- Experience directly supporting persons at multiple locations
- Semiconductor and/or system level device experience preferred
- Experience with trade compliance software preferred
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Bachelors degree in business or other applicable field, plus a minimum of 5 years experience
