Thought Leadership Consultant- Fairfax, VA
CGI Group's thought leadership program is a high-profile activity providing
practical, actionable insight and analysis to executives in the U.S. federal
government. The assistant director's position provides an opportunity to apply
communications skills and knowledge of federal operations in an entrepreneurial
environment to build skills in communications, strategic planning, online and
print publishing and writing and editing while helping to improve the efficiency
and effectiveness of government.
CGI's Thought Leadership program was designed to increase CGI's profile within
the federal information technology market by enhancing CGI's relationships with
key government leaders and influencers and differentiating CGI as an expert
executive adviser on improving management and operations using IT.
In partnership with academic, media and non-profit organizations, the thought
leadership program creates printed and digital publications and videos and live
and online events that address federal leaders' challenges and areas of CGI
expertise.
This person will providing analyst support for the production of thought
leadership research reports, blog posts, digital executive guides, online
video, and white papers (e.g., supporting research and concept development
discussions, writing drafts, and moving forward on resulting action items to
help the Director drive products to print or Web publication). Serve as Web
master for the Initiative site, maintaining the site, supervising redesigns,
negotiating best-value contracts for Web and e-marketing services, managing all
Web and e-marketing budgets/invoices, regularly reporting Web and e-marketing
metrics and using them to manage for improved performance.
Provide analyst support for the production of thought leadership events, both
in-person and online (e.g. webinars). Support event architecture discussions,
preparing written materials and presentations describing planned activities,
and moving forward on resulting action items to help the Director produce
specific events). Provide analyst support to alternative thought leadership
content production (e.g., podcasts, wikis, Tweets, other social media) to help
the Director both develop strategies for leveraging alternative content
channels and produce resulting content. Assist in market research around trends
and challenges facing the federal government.
Assist in the preparation of briefings, including professional and polished PowerPoint decks, for key market leading analyst firms and CGI account use. Assist in research on specific agencies within the federal government, the federal market, federal management and It management policy, etc.
Coordinate and organize data gathered using CGI's Thought Leadership Sharepoint
site. Ability to enhanceSharepoint site based on evolving business needs.
Strong communication required, both written and oral, to senior members of CGI
Group business units.
