State Farm Insurance in Lincoln, Neb. is seeking a Communication Specialist.  This individual has a minimum of three to five years experience as a professional communicator in a corporate environment.  The Communication Specialist will join a team of professional corporate communicators responsible for speechwriting and writing for a variety of print and online media serving executives, employees, and independent-contractor agents across six Midwestern states. These media include a monthly in-house magazine, internal employee and agent Web sites, and social media such as blogs, podcasts and video streams.  The successful candidate will be a key member of the communications team and will be responsible for developing communication plans for business issues, writing and editing internal print and electronic material and writing executive communications and speeches. Competitive candidates have a bachelor's degree in journalism or related field, with experience in writing and/or editing for mass publication, and be willing to learn about insurance and financial services.   The position is located in Lincoln, Nebraska.
