Are you an experienced communications professional who can help raise the profile of home-based childcare and engage with key audiences across Wales to increase awareness, understanding and support for NCMA's work?
This is a role of significant variety and challenge. Working closely with senior managers in Wales and policy and communications professionals within NCMA, you will help us influence senior decision-makers in government, generate positive press coverage of our work and explore creative ways to improve understanding of what we do. This will involve developing NCMA's policy view on a range of issues in Wales, undertaking research, information gathering, analysis and consultation. To increase awareness you will identify newsworthy stories about home-based childcare and the work of NCMA to proactively promote to the media in Wales, writing articles and press releases. Building excellent working relationships with partner organisations and the media will, of course, be a vital part of your role.
You will have experience a similar evidence-based policy environment and a successful track record of influencing government and political stakeholders. This should include a good understanding of the Welsh government system and the ability to work effectively with external partners and agencies. Excellent presentation and writing skills are also essential - and you will have the confidence and expertise to coordinate multiple projects in a rapidly changing environment.
